July 31st – Orcas to Anacortes

Rested up a bit longer this morning before starting out for Anacortes. We have no mainsail on the boat, so motoring was necessary. We arrived at our slip in Cap Sante marina around 12:30.
Of course, the first thing to do there was have lunch at Anthony's. The salmon fish&chips seemed especially since we had no food except oatmeal on the boat.
After lunch we picked up a car at the Enterprise office across the street. A shopping trip to West Marine next door started off the many tasks we need to do to get the boat ready.
This included a long provisioning run in Safeway by me alone while Jon worked on the rigging.
The only glitch was that the restrooms and showers are about 1000 yards away and when I got all the way up there, I found out that the showers now only take credit cards! It might have been nice of the Cap Sante marina staff to think to tell us that when they printed our access cards.
